Business Affairs Manager - Video Production (Remote)
Job Summary:
Partner with Producers, Advertising Team, and Global Business Affairs Team to manage business affairs needs within Video Production Department. This role requires close cooperation with producers, content managers, legal, brand teams, advertising team, music supervisors, and additional Marcom personnel through development and production of creative and marketing videos. Collaborate with Producers to facilitate aspects of production, legal, copyright/trademark, third party content, rights and all other clearance matters. Understand and provide guidance on advertising law, talent, production and music matters. Partner with greater global BA team and outside ad agency to complete localization of third party content, and partner as needed with content production teams for additional translation. This role is heavy on talent with both foreign, domestic, non-union shoots and union shoots.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Manage projects from concept to wrap and maintain line of sight into all facets of production including thinking ahead on project/clearance/legal needs, understanding talent process, etc.
- Review scripts and storyboards for initial flags; Work with legal to assess risk and find creative solves.
- Prepare talent estimates, contracts, and process talent payments.
- Negotiate and license third-party IP when necessary.
- Initiate trademark searches and work closely with legal on copyright/trademark matters
- Facilitate third party content clearances between Production and Asset Managers for video projects.
- Manage database systems to track content usage across multiple productions

Required Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree
- 7-10 years in agency or corporate business affairs role.
- 7-10 years of experience negotiating talent contracts.
- Experience in all matters of talent management (Celeb/SAG-AFTRA/Non Union)
- Experience in negotiating licensing agreements.
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills.
- Consistently displays a professional and positive service oriented demeanor
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
