Job Summary:
Marcom is Apple’s Global Marketing Communications group. We oversee all of Apple’s advertising and marketing to ensure the flawless development and execution of world-class communications.

The Resource Manager will partner with functional leads to assign sufficient and suitable resources to projects, balance workloads and resolve resource constraints across a large group of creatives, producers, or production staff.

The Resource Manager will need to understand the complexity of how work gets done, have a deep understanding of the creative process, and possess impeccable communication and interpersonal skills. The role requires a high level of patience, diplomacy and fortitude and a strong voice in a fast-moving environment. 

Key Qualifications:

  • You have 7 - 10 years relevant experience in a resource or project management role within a creative or marketing organization. As part of this role, you’ve utilized a project resourcing system and have evangelized use of it with your business partners. 
  • You have solid knowledge of digital processes and the creative process - particularly in areas such as design, conceptual advertising, and interactive. 
  • As a part of our resource management team, you will feel comfortable working in a dynamic and fluid environment. You are able to understand complex project requirements, understand briefs, recognize potential risks and dependencies relevant to resourcing work, and make recommendations on casting the right person, for the right project, at the right time. 
  • You have demonstrated extraordinary communication and people management skills.

Description:

  • You are able to build strong rapport with members of the department you support, in addition to partnering with functional and operations leadership and / or key vendor contacts. You will host weekly check-ins with key stakeholders to ensure efficient utilization of people and assignment of all projects. You will help identify excessive or under-utilization of talent and solve any potential resource gap areas. 
  • You enjoy matching the skills and career aspirations of individual contributors to the appropriate projects. You’re an expert at balancing workload across internal teams, freelancers and agency / vendor partners.
  • You will support your partners with quarterly and fiscal year planning by forecasting future hiring and freelance needs based on provided roadmaps. 
  • You may help mediate resource sharing issues with functional leads, our Operations lead and/or the Director, Resource Management.
  • You will partner with your Associate Resource Manager help ensure the successful on-boarding / off-boarding of all employees (FTE, vendors and freelancers). This includes coordination of badge and building access, seat location, buddy set-up, security briefings etc. 
  • You’ll help inform and shape resource management processes, systems and templates- constantly striving to improve workflow.

Education:

Bachelors degree preferred.

  • Preferred years of experience : 7+ Years
  • Travel Required : No travel required
  • Business Day Timings: 9 AM to 5 PM
